Cockpit is a static web application. We do not collect, store, or process personal data on our servers.

What we never collect

• No user accounts, no email addresses, no passwords
• No analytics or tracking scripts on the launcher pages
• No cookies set by Cockpit itself
• No streaming-service credentials — Cockpit only opens URLs in your browser

What may briefly exist

When you use phone pairing, your phone writes a single URL to an ephemeral session in Google Firebase Realtime Database, identified by a short random key. The car browser reads it and the session is removed. The payload is the URL only.

Firebase server logs are governed by Google’s Firebase Data Processing Terms.

Third-party services you interact with

• Vercel hosts these pages and may keep standard request logs per its privacy policy
• Cloudflare serves DNS and (in the Mac remote desktop flow) tunnels your own traffic; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy
• Streaming services (Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Max, Apple TV+) open in their own web apps under their own terms

Mac remote desktop

The Mac remote desktop runs on your own Cloudflare Tunnel and your own Mac. Nothing routes through Cockpit-controlled servers. We never see your screen, your input, or your credentials.

Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because we hold none, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side. For questions email admin@thegridbase.com.
